Artist. Curator. Creative Visionary.

Kate McGraw is an American fine artist whose multidisciplinary practice encompasses drawing, painting, mixed media, installation and site-responsive work.
She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Pennsylvania State University and her Master of Fine Arts from Brooklyn College, developing a sophisticated visual vocabulary centered around pattern, repetition, color, light, material and environment.
Kate’s work has been presented in solo, collaborative, group and juried exhibitions in New York, Washington, D.C., Pennsylvania, Baltimore and other locations.
Her artistic practice frequently moves beyond the traditional boundaries of the canvas. Walls become surfaces. Rooms become installations. Light becomes material. And the viewer becomes part of the experience.
That same philosophy is now the foundation of Kate McGraw Fine Art-Inspired Interiors. Kate brings decades of artistic thinking into homes, hospitality properties and commercial environments, helping clients create spaces with a visual identity entirely their own.

Creating an Environment, Not Decorating a Room
Every room has its own visual language. Kate’s role is to discover it. Her process examines the relationship between architecture, artwork, color, furniture, lighting, materials and the people who ultimately inhabit the space.
“Art is not the accessory. Art is the beginning of the conversation.”
Honoring what came before us.
Kate’s commitment to place extends far beyond the studio. She has run for public office — not once, but twice — believing that creativity and leadership can shape a stronger, more thoughtful future.
As a member of the Cumberland County Agricultural Land Preservation Board, she has been a passionate advocate for preserving farmland, heritage and the soul of our communities.
One of her most defining battles was the fight to save McCormick Farm in Silver Spring Township from becoming a luxury development. Kate stood up for what was right — protecting the land, its history and its sacred past — and she won. It wasn’t easy. Many powerful developers in the area were not pleased. But Kate has never backed down from a fight rooted in truth, respect and stewardship.
She believes in honoring what came before us so that future generations inherit more than houses — they inherit meaning.
